…NEW YORK After briefly speaking with Jets coach Rex Ryan about his excessive use of expletives during the HBO show Hard Knocks, NBC football analyst Tony Dungy admitted Monday that “the fat cocksucker is real fucking good shit.” “We were yapping our dicks off on the fucking telephone I had a goddamned great conversation with that lovable fucking asshole,” said Dungy, adding that he and the “huge ass-muncher” hit it off right away. “That cock-gobbling bastard understood that none of this shit is fucking personal. We had an asshole-to-asshole talk and now me and the big twat are tight as fuck.” Dungy said he had apologized to “Lard Dick” for being “such a little bitch” about the goddamn swearing and accepted Ryan’s offer to tour the Jets’ asshole….

Fans Fill Graceland for Vigil Marking Elvis’ Death

Elvis Presley fans from around the world flocked to Graceland on Sunday for the annual late night procession past the king of rock ‘n’ roll’s grave. Presley died at his Graceland mansion Aug. 16, 1977.

…Thousands of Elvis admirers from around the world flocked to Graceland to attend the annual candlelight vigil and procession, which runs into the morning hours. Presley died at age 42 at his Graceland mansion on Aug. 16, 1977. Memorials started the following year.

Elvis ballads like “If I Can Dream” and “Fools Rush In” played as participants solemnly filed in through the gates. Flowers and photos lined the entrance to the grave site, which also is the resting place of Presley’s father Vernon, his mother Gladys and grandmother Minnie Mae. Some people wiped tears from their faces as they walked past.

Thomas Hollis, 52, said he thought of his wife, who passed away in May from cancer. It’s his sixth Elvis vigil, but the first without his wife. Sunday was the couple’s 13th wedding anniversary.

Hollis’ granddaughter carried a candle for his wife.

“This vigil is kind of like for Elvis, and kind of like for…

Bloggers Ordered to Take Down Radiohead Songs

Hard times for the UK band? Not exactly. The orders didn’t actually come from the band, but from record industry groups who equate posting songs to file sharing.

…Hard times for the UK band? Not exactly. The orders didn’t actually come from the band, but from record industry groups who equate posting songs to file sharing.
Bloggers who had posted songs from Radiohead’s album In Rainbows received letters from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), ordering them to take the songs down, the Guardian reports.
While it’s not the first time the groups have gone after someone for the unauthorized sharing of music–RIAA and IFPI also targeted blogs that were sharing songs by U2 and the Doors–it does seem a little strange in Radiohead’s case. After all, when it was first released, the band…

The Music Video Is Back Thanks to Lady Gaga

Many of us keep track of what tops the box-office and iTunes charts, but can anybody even guess what’s the most-viewed YouTube video of all time? No, it doesn’t involve a baby or a kid doing something hilarious. The answer is “Bad Romance,” the music video starring Lady Gaga shimmying in what looks like an underground brothel.

…re procrastinating at work). Some videos are now so high in demand, they even have their own trailers. Is it just a coincidence that the movie industry feels so sluggish at the same time music videos are taking off?…

LA Coliseum Bans Raves After 15 y/o Girl Overdoses

The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is imposing a temporary ban on raves, a decision made less than 24 hours after a 15-year-old girl died of a suspected drug overdose after attending the Electric Daisy Carnival over the weekend. RIP. Condolences to the family of the departed.

…Sad about the death, but promoter’s hands are tied, due to a 90s “anti-rave” law.

If the promoters try to provide the safest environment for all involved, they are likely to allude to the fact that illegal substances may be in use by some of their guests. Therefore, they scale back services, such as extra paramedics and ambulances, and are not allowed to get the help of organizations like DanceSafe.org, which does free voluntary pill testing to ensure that the pills being ingested don’t contain chemicals more dangerous than the drugs that are believed to be ingested.

I have a feeling the dead young lady will test positive for ecstasy, but that will not have been the drug that killed her.

I used to go to Grateful Dead Shows where a group of VOLUNTEER MDs, Psychologists and other Health Care Professionals used to offer a “talk down” service for those concert goers that maybe weren’t having the best time on whatever combination of psychedelics they may have ingested.

If a patient needed medical help,…

Lennon’s "Day in the Life" Lyrics Fetch $1.2M (PIC)

Unidentified Collector Buys Handwritten Lyrics to Beatles’ Song From “Sgt. Pepper” at N.Y.C. Auction.

…John Lennon’s handwritten lyrics to the final song on the classic Beatles album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” were purchased by an American collector on Friday for $1.2 million.
The winning bid for “A Day in the Life” was placed by phone at Sotheby’s auction house, which declined to identify the collector further.
The price exceeded the pre-sale estimate of $500,000 to $800,000.
The double-sided sheet of paper features Lennon’s edits and corrections in his own hand - in black felt marker and blue ball point pen, with a few annotations in red ink.
Rolling Stone magazine listed “A Day in the Life” at No. 26 in its compilation of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time and “Sgt. Pepper” won four Grammy awards in 1968.
The lyrics, which begin with “I read the news today, oh boy,” stirred controversy when the Beatles released the album in 1967. The song was banned by the BBC because it twice features the line, “I’d love to turn you on,” which was interpreted as supporting illegal drug use. The song was…
